Free Workshop in October.

The Jackson County Community Health Action Team is sponsoring a presentation in Altus this fall titled, Make It Your Business.  This is a free workshop for our community business leaders that will be held on October 3, 2012, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the SW Technology Center.  The presentation is a worksite wellness training that focuses on policies that businesses can implement to help their employees eat better, move more and be tobacco free

At the training, these items will be discussed:
Ø  Learn how to implement policies that can help change harmful behaviors that are hurting your employees and costing your company money.
Ø  Discover what other businesses in Jackson County are doing to improve the health of their employees and be able to get ideas from like minded businesses.
Ø  Earn credit toward your Certified Healthy Business certificate and learn more about the Certified Healthy Oklahoma program.
Ø  Learn how to write policies that relate to wellness.

There will be more information to follow, but I wanted to email and ask that you save the date, October 3, please.  We would love to have you attend, or a representative that you designate, if you are unable to attend.

If you have any questions, please contact myself or Tara Davis, CX Nutrition and Fitness Coor., atTaraD@health.ok.gov

Thank you for your time,
Tonya
